虽然k空间中一个数据的位置与图像中一个像素的位置没有直接的联系，k空间中的不同部分确实与MR图像的空间频率有拓扑上的对应。如下图所示，靠近k空间中心的数据与低空间频率（如基本的形状和轮廓）相对应，而外围的数据与高空间频率（如边缘与细节）相对应。
